How can I contact you about a custom order and what information do I need to provide?

Please send us a message through the website's contact page or email Please supply date of event, pickup/delivery time, inspiration photos, cake sizing or guest count, budget, and any other details you may think we need to provide an accurate quote.

Do you have a storefront?

We do not. We are a cottage food business licensed by the Orange County Environmental Health agency. We operate by appointment only.

How far in advance do I need to place my order?

​For wedding cakes and intricate celebration cakes, it is recommended that you get in touch as soon as possible. We book 1-2 orders per weekend at a first come first served basis.

Is there a minimum and what are your prices?

There is a minimum order, spend, of $100. Due to the custom nature of our business, prices will vary based on the design.

How long is your quote good for?

All of our quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of the quote. A quote does not secure nor confirm a booking.

Is a retainer required?

A 50% retainer is required to reserve your date. The retainer is used to purchase ingredients and any tools/supplies needed and is NOT REFUNDABLE two weeks before your pickup or event date. The remaining 50% balance is due two weeks before pickup/event date. Full payment will also be accepted any time before the payment due dates. Bookings are only confirmed once the retainer is paid.

Do you offer wedding cake tastings?

Throughout the year, we will offer several cake tasting boxes. Please inquire with us for upcoming dates.

What are your cake sizes?

All cakes are round. Sizing starts from 4" - 6" - 8" - 10" - 12". We also offer faux tiers to give your cake a taller look as well as cake slice boxes if you require additional servings. Our cakes come in regular and tall stack. Regular comes with 3 layers of cake while tall cakes yield twice the amount of servings with 4 layers of cake.

Do you offer fondant covered cakes?

We are a buttercream bakery and only use fondant and gum paste to sculpt and decorate.

Do you deliver?

Delivery can be arranged in advance and is subject to availability. Delivery pricing is based on round-trip travel time from the Sweet Lake kitchen, starting at $30/hr. We recommend delivery for all wedding cakes.

How do you handle damaged cakes?

In the event that a cake becomes damaged during our transport and is irreparable, we will refund you the full cost. However, if a cake is damaged after pickup or after satisfactory delivery, we can only try our best to assist. If available, we will fix it to the best of our abilities..

How should I transport my cake?

Cakes should be kept cold; therefore, keep your air conditioning on. Transport inside a FLAT bin/box with a non-slip mat underneath the box. Use a sunshade or place the cake in a shaded section of your car. Take caution and drive slowly over rough roads and speed bumps. Do not make sudden accelerations, abrupt stops, and avoid sharp turns.

Do you also provide the cake toppers or florals?

We offer complimentary, basic, cardstock cake toppers. All other cake toppers and florals are usually provided by the customer or customer's florist. However, for an additional fee, we can design and provide it if possible.

How do you handle Covid-19 order cancellations/postponements?

We understand that Covid-19 has affected many people and their ability to host large celebrations. We will work with our clients to the best of our ability to reschedule or refund (if still within the two weeks proceeding the event). Due to the nature of our business, a secured booking does not allow us to book any other clients for that day. Therefore, any cancellations within two weeks of the event will forfeit your retainer. However, that retainer may be used towards a future order. We hope that all of our clients understand that as a small business, we incur losses stemming from cancellations, so we encourage you to reschedule and not cancel.

Cancellations two weeks (or less than) before your event will forfeit your retainer. If our schedule permits, we can work on rescheduling.

  • Excess packaging (ex. individual cupcake boxes) will incur additional charges. Anything above two boxes per dozen cupcakes is considered excess. Please be mindful of the environment and reduce our carbon footprint.

  • Decorated sugar cookies, packaged as gift sets, will incur additional charges.
